I have decided to get up off the sofa and compete in a 5k Tough Madder challenge in memory of a dear colleague, Sobi Sriskantharajah and for the charity, Only a Pavement Away.

Only A Pavement Away is a charity founded by representatives from the hospitality industry who believe that everyone deserves the chance to find and forge a career. The charity connects forward thinking hospitality employers with charity referral partners to enable & upskill individuals into work, supporting people at risk of homelessness & anyone facing barriers to employment outside of their control.

To date, Only A Pavement Away has placed over 720 candidates back into work, and in 2024, our charity supported 1383 individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds with learning & development and employment opportunities.
