This June, we're launching a community challenge to celebrate Stoke-on-Trent’s 100th anniversary and raise vital funds to keep Dougie Mac running. Walk, jog or run any distance, at your own pace – every step makes a difference.

Story

I am going to tot up 100km in June by walking 3.3km every day of the month.

I'm doing it to support Adam who is doing a huge personal crazy challenge of running 100km in just one day on 5th June, all around Stoke-on-Trent!

I'm doing it to raise vital funds for Dougie Mac and also to celebrate 100 years since Stoke-on-Trent received its city status – and we’d love you to be part of it too.

This is a Community Charity Challenge, open to everyone....

Workplaces, Gyms, Colleges, Schools, Universities, Running Clubs, and Groups of Friends.

Here’s the challenge:

Form a team (or go solo!) and cover 100km together during the month of June 2025.

Split the distance however works for you – 1km, 5km, 10km. I'm walking 3.3km every day of the month to get to my 100km.

Run or walk wherever and whenever suits you – around your neighbourhood, on a treadmill, or even join Adam for part of his epic route!

We’re aiming to raise £56,000 – enough to fund just one day of care at Dougie Mac.

Every pound helps provide vital care and support to local people and families across our city and beyond.
