100K4ADay

This June, we're launching a community challenge to celebrate Stoke-on-Trent’s 100th anniversary and raise vital funds to keep Dougie Mac running. Walk, jog or run any distance, at your own pace – every step makes a difference.

Douglas Macmillan Hospice (Dougie Mac) is the only hospice in Staffordshire supporting Children, Young Adults & Adults. Care is given to patients who are living with a life-limiting illness at our two sites and in the community. We also provide support for patients families and their carers.

Story

Celebrate Stoke-on-Trent’s Centenary & Support Dougie Mac

Did you know...

• Stoke-on-Trent is celebrating 100 years as a city in 2025?

• It costs £56,000 every single day for Dougie Mac to deliver essential care and support across our community?

Let’s Make Every Step Count

To mark this incredible milestone and raise vital funds for Dougie Mac, we’re launching 100K4ADay — a challenge for the entire community.

As part of the campaign, on 5th June, Adam Whitehouse, Founder of TMT First, will run 100km in one day around Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle-under-Lyme - symbolising the £56,000 it takes to keep Dougie Mac running for a single day.

But this isn’t just about one person.

This is a community challenge - and we want you to be part of it.

Who can take part?

Everyone! We’re inviting:

• Businesses

• Schools & Colleges

• Universities

• Running Clubs

• Workplaces & Gyms

• Friends, Families — and YOU

How it works:

Take part in your own way, any time throughout June.

Walk it. Jog it. Run it. Do it for Dougie Mac.

Whether it's 1km or 100km, every distance matters and every pound raised helps us get closer to our £56,000 goal.

Together, we can:

• Celebrate 100 years of Stoke-on-Trent

• Help fund one full day of care at Dougie Mac

• Show what our community can achieve when we unite for a cause
