Story
Cystic fibrosis is present in LSA as well as in our wider community of Donabate and Portrane.
LSA club member, Paudie Byrne has decided to take on the challenge of running a 65KM Ultra Marathon in Newbridge Park, Donabate on Saturday the 13th of April 2024 to raise funds for 65 Roses, Cystic Fibrosis Ireland.
LSA have set a target amount of €1,000 for our fundraising efforts. With your generous contribution, we can reach this goal and make an even greater impact together. Every donation, no matter how big or small, brings us one step closer to improving the lives of those living with Cystic Fibrosis.
Your support will help provide vital resources and support services to individuals and families who are facing the challenges of this condition.
Join us and together we can create positive change and bring hope to those who need it most.
The run will consist of 23 laps of the first half of park run route (2.8km) plus about 200 metres to complete the distance of 65km.
We invite all in the community to come along and cheer, support, and run whatever you can with Paudie. (The slowest pace he will run is 6 min per KM). This will not be a race, or a time trial, it is about reaching the target distance of 65km and raising funds and awareness of Cystic Fibrosis.
