The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.

Story

Hello :)

Thank you for visiting my page.

Those who know me, know I have my Guide Dog Jenny who’s been my life changer and best mate for the last 4 years, Guide Dogs not only gave me Jenny but gave me knowledge, confidence, friends. It’s hard to explain what it feels like walking with your Guide Dog and the only way I can explain it is it makes you feel relaxed it took away a stress and anxiety I didn’t realise i was carrying, you put all your trust into them and they take care of you, in return for treats and cuddles.

So, the challenges

My aim is to complete 3 challenges over the next year:

First challenge will be Mera Peak October 2025 sitting at 6,476 m high this will be the highest mountain I’ve attempted

Second challenge will be the Manchester Marathon April 2026 , another first attempt for me

Then the third challenge, the biggest challenge I’ll be attempting to climb the Matterhorn (not the highest but the toughest mountain I’ll be attempting) if I summit it’ll make me the first severely sight impaired women to do so

I’m already putting everything into my training holding to make these dreams a reality, any donations are greatly appreciated.

Almost two million people in the UK are living with sight loss that has a significant impact on their daily lives. Of those, around 180,000 rarely leave their homes alone and lead lonely, isolated lives.

Guide Dogs works for a world where people with sight loss are never left out of life, for a world where being blind or partially sighted is not what defines you. A world with enough support to make the challenges of sight loss no barrier to fulfilling hopes and dreams.
