Thanks for taking the time to read our story. We are taking part in the YMCA Sleepout 2026 at Burton Albion on 6 November 2026, alongside others who care deeply about supporting local people in our community. As a mum & daughter team, we want to stand in solidarity with those who face the uncertainty of not having a safe, warm place to call home.

We know how fortunate we are to have a roof over our heads, enough food to eat, and the support of friends and family. At the same time, we are aware that many people in Burton, Swadlincote, and the surrounding area are not so fortunate. For some, a loss of work, a change in family circumstances, illness, or bereavement can quickly create a difficult situation. When that happens, support with housing and finances does not always arrive quickly enough.

That is why we are fundraising for YMCA Burton Sleepout 2026 and asking for your support. The money raised will help YMCA Burton continue providing vital help for local people who are facing hardship, so they can access the support they need and take positive steps forward. Our target is £500, and every donation, whatever the amount, will make a meaningful difference.
