Luke and I will be taking on one of the biggest challenges we’ve ever set ourselves — running the London Marathon for Rainbows.

I don’t think I’ve ran properly in over a year, and Luke is currently undergoing physio after his ACL reconstruction (again). So, to say we have a bit of work to do before we make it to that start line is probably an understatement!

But there’s a very special reason why we’ve chosen to take on this challenge for Rainbows.

Rainbows is particularly close to Luke’s heart, having supported his mum and family through an incredibly difficult period of their lives.

Knowing that the charity has helped families like Luke’s makes this challenge feel much more personal to us. We’re running not only to push ourselves, but to raise money for a charity that provides vital support to families going through some of the hardest experiences imaginable.

Rainbows supports babies, children and young people across the East Midlands who have serious or terminal illnesses, as well as the families who love and care for them. They provide specialist care, emotional support and a safe space for families to spend precious time together and make memories, for as long as they have.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help Rainbows continue to be there for families when they need them most.
