Story
I'm running the Great North Run 2025 in aid of St Cuthbert's Hospice. This is my story...
In 2024, my grandma was taken into St Cuthbert's Hospice. For someone who had never known anything about hospices, my initial thought was fear. I expected it to be a dark, quiet place. How I was wrong! St Cuthbert's Hospice in Durham is filled with the most amazing people, the brightest flowers, and it felt more like a home than a place of sorrow.
The warmth and compassion I experienced there were truly inspiring. Every person I spoke to shared stories of hope and resilience, reminding me that even in our darkest moments, there is light to be found. The care provided by the staff not only supported my grandma but also uplifted our entire family during a challenging time.
As I prepare for this marathon on September 7th, 2025, I am filled with gratitude for the incredible work that St Cuthbert's Hospice does every day. They provide comfort and dignity to those in need, and they deserve our support.
I am asking for your help to reach my fundraising target of £350 for St Cuthbert's Hospice. Your generous contributions will ensure that they can continue their vital work and support more families like mine. Together, we can make a difference!
