Story
I am one of the 100 people keeping ACTIVE in APRIL to raise awareness of the rare neurological condition Sturge Weber Syndrome and vital funds for Sturge Weber UK.
Our eldest child Toby was born with Sturge Weber syndrome and developed epilepsy at 7 months old. He is now 3. He is funny, determined and his cheeky smile lights up any room. He overcomes many struggles everyday and continues to make us very proud.
The Sturge Weber UK charity has become such an important part of our lives since Tobys birth in 2021. From support during long hospital stays to advice regarding Tobys autism journey. The annual family weekend hosted by Sturge Weber UK has become a highlight of our year, where we can socialise with other families and share our struggles. This weekend has always been a safe and happy environment for Toby to meet other children sharing the same rare condition. This weekend is funded through donations.
Active In April in a challenge suitable for all ages and abilities - to walk, run, jog, cycle, skate or swim, throughout the month of April the miles of your choice. Please help us raise awareness of Sturge Weber Syndrome and vital funds for Sturge Weber UK.
