Story
In the month of June, the Ground Control Maintenance SLT will be undertaking a fundraising drive to support our ‘Charity of the Year’, the RNLI, in memory of our colleague Simon Wiggins who sadly passed away this year. Simon personally chose the RNLI as he enjoyed many holidays with his boys down at the beach and the RNLI do an amazing job keeping our coasts safe, powered by dedicated volunteers.
The team made up of Patrick Croskerry, Marc Wilkinson, Adam Dauer and Stew Harley will be undertaking the following fundraising events throughout the month of June including…
• Marc Wilkinson will be participating in a cycling event known as the Dragon Ride covering a staggering distance of 215km and an ascent of 3,350m
• Stew Harley, Add Dauer and Patrick Croskerry will be rowing 146,000 metres across the month between the three of them with 1m covered for every life saved by the RNLI. This is the equivalent of rowing the channel 4.5 times!!
Any amount you can donate to our fundraiser would be greatly appreciated and Ground Control will be pound for pound matching donations which will go directly to the RNLI.
Thank you so much for your support
