Who are The Tree Council?

M&G have partnered with The Tree Council to respond to the climate and ecological crisis, by inspiring teachers and pupils to unlock the power of trees, through our new national programme Young Tree Champions.

The programme raises awareness of the importance of protecting the environment through creating mini orchards in inner city schools across the UK.

More than 300 schools have joined the programme so far. Bespoke, curriculum-linked resources and activities are hosted on an interactive Young Tree Champions website and are available to all schools across the UK. ​​​​​​​

Since the programme started in 2019, it has reached over 124,000 pupils and teachers over three years with more than 12,000 trees planted in school grounds and playgrounds.
