As I approach my 40th birthday and this also being the 10th year of running an eating disorder charity, I have decided it's time I took on a personal challenge. The number of people suffering from Eating Disorders are higher than ever and it is our mission at PEDS to help the individual (&their families), to "Build a Life to Get Well For". I lost most of my teenager years to Anorexia and a big chunk of time out of school, shut away in a hospital which saved my life, but it is my vocation to help other's get the help they need earlier and avoid hospital and the clutches of Anorexia.

PEDS receives requests for help, everyday of the year and whilst we have expanded significantly since we set up as two voluntary Founders, with us now having a team of 12 staff plus our amazing volunteers, we need your help. The funding we receive does not match the requests for help and we need your contribution to enable us to train and take on another PEDS nurse. By helping make this happen, you will directly impact the lives of over 2,820 sufferers, plus their families, loved ones and carers plus those around them such as their school, work place or club /society, through our education and support.

My goal is to raise £30,000, but if I raise £15,000, we can train and take on a new Nurse, part time.

My challenge is to do the Three Peaks in 3 Days and if I hit my target, I will pledge to travel back from Wales to Peterborough on public transport, dressed as "Pedsie" our Lion mascot, designed by a patient.
