Help Team MANTIS Reach New Heights for Cancer Fund for Children!

On Friday, 20th June, the MANTIS team is swapping spreadsheets for hiking boots to take on the challenge of summiting Slieve Donard, Northern Ireland's highest peak! Following our ascent, we'll be celebrating with a team BBQ, bringing our MANTIS community together.

Why are we doing this?

We are incredibly proud to be fundraising for Cancer Fund for Children. This amazing charity provides vital practical, emotional, and financial support to children and young people (aged 0-24) diagnosed with cancer, and their families. They offer a listening ear during the toughest times, therapeutic short breaks at their Daisy Lodge facility (nestled at the foot of the Mourne Mountains where Slieve Donard stands!), and support in hospitals and homes. Their work helps to ensure that no child has to face cancer alone and allows families to create precious memories together, even amidst hardship.

Every step we take up Slieve Donard, and every pound we raise, will go directly towards helping Cancer Fund for Children continue their life-changing services. From providing individual support sessions to offering specialist residential stays, our collective effort will make a real difference to families across Ireland when they need it most.

Our MANTIS Commitment:

This challenge is more than just a hike for us. It's about teamwork, pushing our limits, enjoying the incredible outdoors, and most importantly, giving back to a cause close to our hearts. Some of our colleagues will be tackling the mountain, while others will be ensuring a fantastic welcome and BBQ for everyone afterwards – a true MANTIS team effort!

We're also inspired by our colleague, Mark Dowds, who is undertaking the even more demanding 26 Mountains 2 Mayo (26M2M) challenge in support of Cancer Fund for Children.
