For almost 40 years, our global movement - Peace Brigades International - have worked tirelessly to provide life-saving support to activists in some of the worlds most dangerous countries.

We need you more than ever, because going against the grain and questioning the status quo can be deadly, especially in contexts of violence.

PBI defends the defenders. On the ground we provide direct protection and support, to keep defenders alive and help their activism thrive. We stand shoulder to shoulder with them in a display of solidarity that deters violence. In addition, unlike other organisations in this space, we also provide longer-term support - from security monitoring and psychological assistance, to capacity-building training and advocacy.
