Story
My reason for setting up this page is very close to my heart. My beautiful grandson was born with haemophilia, and at just 2 years old he already faces challenges no child should have to face. While treatments have come a long way thanks to years of research, there is still so much more that can be done to help babies and children with this condition grow up able to live full, active and confident lives.
I’m running the London Marathon to raise awareness for this small charity and to help raise vital funds that support ongoing research into better treatments and care. Every step I take is for my grandson, and for every other child and family living with haemophilia.
I haven’t set myself a large fundraising target and any donation, no matter how small, would mean the world to me and could help make a real difference to a child’s future.
Some of you may know that I run regularly, but this will be my last marathon as I edge closer to pension age. That makes this challenge even more meaningful and emotional for me.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness, generosity and support.
