Story
We are among 14 local business leaders and influencers who have been locked up for Maggie's. We've been found guilty of 'Gross misallocation of biscuits in the workplace' (Senga introduced a 'wellness driven biscuit reduction policy' while Marianne reallocated the premium biscuits to 'high value stakeholders' (i.e. herself))', and sent down with bail set at a minimum of £2,000.
With only our phones, laptops and my powers of persuasion, we need your help to raise funds to pay bail and escape jail!
"We are delighted (and slightly nervous!) to be taking part in Jail or Bail for Maggie’s. It’s a fun challenge for a brilliant cause and one that’s close to many people’s hearts including our own.
Maggie’s supports people living with cancer and their families in a really practical, compassionate way. For us, this is about giving something back, raising money for our Charity of the Year, and showing support in a way that brings everyone together."
For many people living in the Northeast, Maggie's Aberdeen is a beacon of hope, offering a unique programme of practical and psychological support, available free of charge to people at any stage and with any type of cancer, and to their family and friends.
Maggie’s Aberdeen opened its doors in 2013, and by the end of 2026 they expect to have welcomed and supported over 100,000 visits, delivered thousands of one-to-one psychologist sessions, and secured over £9million in financial benefits for local people. They rely entirely on voluntary donations and gifts in wills to fund their work, and with instances of cancer 1 in 2 people, there is huge demand for the support they provide.
Please donate to bail us out (or keep us in!) and support Maggie’s – every £ will help.
