Hi friends,
Thanks for stopping by! After 15+ years in the travel and events industry, I know just how generous our community can be. That’s why the Royal Parks Half Marathon on Sunday 12 October means so much to me. It’s my fifth time running, and I’m lacing up to support a cause close to my heart: Meeting Needs.
Meeting Needs isn’t just another charity. They back the unsung heroes on the ground - the people changing lives in ways that are practical, immediate, and deeply human. From funding trauma counselling for survivors of human trafficking in the UK, to giving kids in Mexico access to education, their impact is real and lasting.
This year, I’m aiming to raise £1000 by 1 November. Training is tough, but knowing that every pound raised helps projects like:
🌱 A school farm in Tanzania where 358 pupils now grow their own food.
🚑Funding Village Africa’s mountain ambulance service in Tanzania for six months with a grant, ensuring 24/7 free emergency transport for a remote community of 7,000 people.
🎒 School bags and supplies for 30 children at the brand-new Sa Pa school in Vietnam.
📚 Reading support for children in Mexico.
💙 Counselling for survivors of trafficking in the UK.
No donation is too small - every pound, every step makes a difference. Every donation, big or small, goes directly to creating real, life-changing impact. Here’s how your support could help:
£50 – 📖reading and education support for 5 children in Mexico
£100 – 🙏 a day of inclusive activities for a family with a young person with additional needs
£500 – 🩺emergency healthcare for a community of 700 in rural Tanzania
£5,000 – 👂🏻a full grant, such as counselling for 60 survivors of human trafficking in the UK
