Mark's fundraiser for the Sally Scholarship

Mark Adams is raising money for University of Brighton

Team: Charity Challenge 2026

In memory of Sally Adams

2026 Charity Challenge

Donations made to the University of Brighton support a number of areas, including: providing scholarships for our most talented students; providing assistance to students undergoing financial hardship; funding research and community engagement activities; and increasing the student experience.

Story

The School of Education, Sport and Health Sciences at Brighton University provides a stimulating learning experience, motivating and inspiring students to become critical thinkers and highly-skilled professionals.

The “Sally Scholarship” provides funding for Student Nurses, Midwives to allow selected student nurses to undertake a two to four week practice learning experience.

The learning experience can be undertaken either in the UK or internationally and is a placement which they would not normally be able to consider due to cost or other circumstances.

The Scholarship has so far funded 30 individuals. The blog below describes how the funding helped Fiona Walker a recipient in 2023.
