Story
MS-UK was established in 1993, and is a national charity dedicated to empowering people with multiple sclerosis to make the most of today, and live life to the full.
MS-UK puts people affected by MS at the heart of the work that they do. They provide high-quality, professional services to support people living with multiple sclerosis, and they listen to people affected by MS.

Supporting MS-UK at the 2026 BMW Berlin Marathon
Thank you for being here. Your presence on this page is already important.
In September 2026, I will run the iconic BMW Berlin Marathon, one of the world’s fastest and most celebrated courses, as a proud member of #TeamPurple, raising critical funds for MS-UK. This is more than a race. It is a commitment to people whose lives are forever shaped by multiple sclerosis—and to ensuring no one faces it alone.
Why This Marathon Matters...
This journey is deeply personal.
Two people I cherish and adore sit at the heart of this mission.
One is a dear classmate whose daily life with MS is a masterclass in resilience. I’ve watched him navigate exhaustion, uncertainty, and physical limitation, yet still show up for others with empathy and grace. Even on his hardest days, he offers reassurance to those newly diagnosed, guiding them through fear and confusion with warmth and honesty. He often puts his own needs aside so others feel seen and supported. His courage is quiet, yet powerful, and it fuels every step I take in training.
The other is a beloved friend and fraternity brother who has since earned his wings after his battle with MS. He was an extraordinary educator, brilliant, compassionate, and driven by purpose. His classroom was where futures were shaped. MS didn’t just challenge him; it stole time, opportunity, and a life of promise he worked tirelessly to build. Losing him was devastating, but it also ignited a responsibility within me: to act, to honor his legacy, and to support those still fighting.
I carry them with me on every run. They're the reason this cause isn't abstract. It's personal. It's urgent. And it's deeply meaningful.
The Reality of MS — Why Support Is Urgently Needed...
MS does not discriminate, and its impact is staggering:
150,000+ people live with MS in the UK
7,100+ new diagnoses are made in the UK every year
Nearly 1 million people live with MS in the United States
2.9 million people worldwide face this condition daily
Behind every statistic is a person. A friend. A colleague. A loved one. A life interrupted.
How MS-UK Changes Lives...
When MS feels overwhelming, isolating, or frightening, MS-UK is there.
Your support enables:
A compassionate helpline—so no one navigates fear or uncertainty alone
Clear, unbiased information—because knowledge restores control
Wellbeing services and community support—reducing isolation and building resilience
