After always asking friends and family for sponsorship when running marathons I vowed never to ask for sponsorship again as I felt uncomfortable going to the same people every time for their support. Despite this promise I am going back on my word and (definitely) for the very last time I am asking for your help. My friend Shaun, who I first met and worked with at the Eastern Docks over 50 years ago, is now fighting a tough battle against MDS in hospital which involves a bone marrow transplant. The support and research from Anthony Nolan is crucial in his journey to recovery. By supporting this cause, you're helping provide patients, like Shaun, with a second chance at life.

When Shaun starts his 42 days of recovery the team will run between them a kilometre on day one and continue increasing the distant by a kilometre each day until we reach 42 kilometres on the final day. Both my sons Phil & Dave, plus Phil’s partner Manon, have joined the team and we would all be so grateful for your support.
