Friends of Anchor have been running Brave since 2017, raising nearly 3/4 of a million pounds to support cancer and haematology patients in the north east.

This year, I was given the link to the application process by a friend and told if I didn't apply then they would on my behalf! Thankfully I was successful in being chosen as one of the 24 models to strut our stuff on the Catwalk.

Whilst living with my own Prostate Cancer diagnosis and my regular 3 monthly checks, I am doing this for my father in law and best friend who are both fighting their own hard battles with cancer.

I want to help raise awareness of cancer and much need funds for all the men and women in the north east who are affected by it.

Brave also gives me an opportunity to have a focus away from other stresses and something to look forward to and enjoy and boy the journey so far has been amazing with getting to know 23 fantastic Brave men, who are more than ready to dance their way down that Catwalk.
