Story

Our 'Snowdon Sunrise Challenge'

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

In 2020, a group of dedicated ‘Key Workers’ representing the NHS, teachers, police, and public sector employees came together with a shared purpose. They recognized that it wasn't enough just to put their lives on the line each day supporting the most vulnerable in society during the pandemic; they also saw the financial challenges that this crisis exposed for the NHS. This realization led to the formation of 'Nightingale FC 2020', a charity football team committed to raising funds for our beloved NHS.

Over the past five years, we have proudly raised over £20,000 for NHS and other charities. Our efforts have directly supported the Royal Orthopaedic Charity (roc), helping provide essential events, training, and much-needed equipment for those in need. As we approach our next challenge during this closed season, we are excited to announce our gentle night-time trek up 'Yr Wyddfa' (Snowdon) on August 31st, 2025. This event is not just a personal challenge; it is an opportunity to raise vital funds for roc and continue supporting those who rely on us most.

We understand that times are difficult for many right now, and we are truly grateful for any donation you can make towards our target of £1,000. Your generosity will make a significant difference in supporting individuals facing even greater challenges during these times.

Together, we can help ensure that everyone has access to the care they need.
