Our #FightingForce Team are taking on the world's greatest half marathon to help find a cure for brain tumours.

Story

On Saturday 6th September I will be running the Junior Great North Run in memory of my dad, Ian, who sadly passed away on 16 July 2024 from a brain tumour. This will be a distance of 4km.

When I heard that my mum, my aunt and some great family friends were running the Great North Run to raise money for Brain Tumour Research, I wanted to do the same and raise money to help find a cure for this horrible illness so that other families do not go through what we did.

It would mean a lot to me if you could donate.

Thank you

One in three people in the UK knows someone affected by a brain tumour. This disease is indiscriminate; it can affect anyone at any age. Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease since records began in 2002.

Brain Tumour Research is determined to change this. It is the only national charity focused on finding a cure for all types of brain tumours. Help fund the fight. Together we will find a cure.
