Tour de Manc for #TeamNorthCare

Tour De Manc · 4 May 2025 ·
Hi 👋 and thank you so much for visiting my JustGiving page.
On Sunday, 4th May 2025, I’ll be cycling in the Tour de Manc for #TeamNorthCare. This isn’t just a bike ride for me - it’s a personal journey.
On the 8th of October 2024, I fell gravely ill. It happened so quickly, and I was in such a bad state that at one point, I was saying my goodbyes to my wife and son, Angie and Chris 😔
The Northern Care Alliance, where I work, saved me with emergency life-saving surgery.
🙌 Thanks to the incredible surgeons, doctors, nurses, community teams and support staff, I’m here today to tell the tale. I also live a life that’s very different now, with a fresh perspective on almost everything. 🌱
I now live with permanent stoma (colostomy), but I’ve fully embraced it — it’s part of my everyday life.
My recovery hasn’t been easy, and I continue to learn what I can/can’t do, but I’m humbled to be in a position to give a small thank you back to the NCA.
🙏 I’m hoping you’ll consider donating a little to help. I’ll be taking a big step forward in my recovery and joining a great group of people doing the ‘Tour de Manc’ 🚴—a 60k ride around the Northern Quarter of Greater Manchester—to raise as much as we can for the NorthCare Charity.
💙 This charity helps provide vital equipment, education, research, and wellbeing support for those in need. ❤️
Any amount you can spare, especially in these challenging times, will make a huge difference. 💪
