The whole swim takes place on a fast incoming tide that works like a bore to assist your swim. Past the narrows the water speeds up further, and the landscape becomes pastoral, the banks closer to you. You'll finish to hot chocolate and celebrations.

Story

Parkinsons takes life slowly and in so many small ways impacts the ability for someone to LIVE like they want, or used to. It is emotionally and physically debilitating.

In Sept 2026 I’m taking on one of the UK’s wildest open water swims, a 10km cold water swim near Snowdonia.

It’s a proper challenge. Big nature, beautiful scenery, and hundreds of swimmers all taking on something epic together: I'm in.

But... getting through one day as a Parkinson's Disease sufferer would be infinitely more difficult that this challenge, a disease my mum suffers from and there are 100's of thousands of UK suffers.

Lets try to support, heal and prevent this disease which is still poorly understood and impacts so many sufferers, carers, friends and family of sufferes...
