Matt's trekking through the Sahara to fundraise for St Peter's Hospice

Sahara Trek 2025 · 5 February 2025 ·
I've taken on the challenge to trek through the Sahara for 4 days to fundraise for St Peter's Hospice, an incredible organisation that gives end of life care in Bristol and offers support to affected families and loved ones.
The Sahara is one of the harshest environments on the planet with temperatures that can soar to 47 °C in the day and drop to -4 °C at night. I'll be trekking as part of a group across constantly shifting dunes for 4 days, sleeping in tents in the desert at night and summiting the Chigaga Dunes - the highest dunes in the Sahara. Walking on loose sand, extreme temperatures, potential snake and scorpion encounters, etc will all add to the challenge.
Please donate what you can to support this much needed organisation.
