Story
I'm fundraising for GoodWork because every young person deserves a fair shot at work.
Nearly one in four young Londoners is unemployed - the highest rate in the country - yet there's not nearly enough provision to help them access fairly paid work.
GoodWork is a charity changing that. They run intensive six-month employability programmes for 18-25 year olds from lower socioeconomic backgrounds, helping them build the skills, confidence and networks they need to launch their careers.
Since launching their first programme in 2023, GoodWork has supported over 150 young people, with over 70% of participants moving into employment or education within six months of completing the programme.
I'm running the Royal Parks Half Marathon this October to help GoodWork reach more young people, run more programmes, and continue working with employers and policymakers to create a fairer world of work.
