Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In October I am running the Yorkshire Coast 10km in support of the Thalia-Beau Foundation, from one side of Scarborough to the other and back again, all in memory of Thalia-Beau, a girl who loved nothing more than hanging out on the seafront in Scarborough.
5 years ago, our family lost the most gorgeous girl following her fight with restrictive cardiomyopathy.
The Thalia-Beau Foundation was set up in her memory to support families with children in hospital, advocate for organ donation, and support families who have experienced the loss of a child. Their work ensures other families going through similar pain and upheaval as Thalia-Beau’s know they’re not alone and their days become that small amount easier.
I’ve previously run the GNR, including once to support a charity that provided care to Thalia-Beau during her treatment, but things are different now. Then I was a student with a summer of freedom to train, now I’m in full time work, 6 years out of running, and a new born son to stop any routines - so 10km is certainly a challenge!
Please donate what you can, not just to encourage me to get the running shoes on after a night of no sleep, but mostly to support such an important cause in Thalia-Beau’s year of “10” challenges!
