Story

In August 2024, P&H Sea Scouts and Erik Armstrong Explorer Scouts are sending a patrol of Explorers and Young Instructors to Nakuru, Kenya, to volunteer at a School providing free education for the poorest in the local area. We are raising money to help cover the cost of us travelling to Kenya and cover our costs whilst there.

We also hope to establish ties with a local Scout group for the mutual benefit of their Scouts and ours and to visit the tomb of Robert Baden-Powell, founder of Scouting, who is buried in Kenya.

On the 28th June, the group and I will be participating in a 50k walk from the Thames barrier near Greenwich and to end in Richmond upon Thames.
