Having been associated with this amazing charity and the work they do to help those children that most need it and now having worked for the organisation for 2 years it's about time I took on a challenge. I'm not sure if signing up for this is such a good idea, more of a crazy mid life crisis but i'll by lacing up my boots and joining an incredible group who'll be trying to break the Guinness World Record for the longest game of rugby (continuous). The aim is to smash the record and complete 36 hrs of rugby!!

So who are we.......

Wooden Spoon is the children’s charity of rugby, funding life-changing projects across the UK and Ireland to support children and young people with disabilities or facing disadvantage.

Research shows that 1 in 10 children in the UK and Ireland have a disability and there are 3.5 million children in the UK living in poverty. These numbers continue to rise and more and more children need our help.

Our vision is that through the power of rugby, every child and young person has access to the same opportunities.

Having now seen the huge impact of the money we raise across UK & Ireland and the lives changed i'm as committed and determined as ever to do my bit and try and make a difference while i'm able.

I'm hoping through the power of social media and my 'Friend' network of over 2000 people (well that’s what it says although not sure I know 2000 people), I can reach my target (everyone of my social media connections giving me £1 would achieve this!!).
