Story

Pendleside Does Strictly 2026... an event I was nominated for. An event I simply couldn't say no to.

On Friday 13th November 2026, I'll be stepping onto the dance floor at Impact Conferencing, Burnley.

If you know me, you'll know dancing has never been my thing. Unless I've had a few pints, you're more likely to see me moving like Chandler Bing than John Travolta.

So why am I doing it?

Because this is so much bigger than learning a few dance steps.

I'm doing it in memory of my dad, and for Pendleside Hospice. During one of the hardest times of our family's lives, they gave my dad the dignity, compassion and care he deserved, while supporting every one of us through an incredibly difficult journey. It's something I'll never forget, and I'll never be able to thank them enough.

This is my way of giving something back.

The dance show is just the finish line. Before I get there, I'm setting myself a series of challenges to push myself physically and mentally, raise as much awareness as possible, and hopefully raise vital funds for a charity that means the world to me.

My first challenge begins on 15th July 2026, when I'll walk 150 miles from Scarborough Castle to Trafalgar Point, Morecambe. There'll be sore feet, long days, and plenty of moments where I'll question why I started—but every mile will be for Pendleside Hospice.

There's another reason I'm doing this too.

I'm doing it for my little girl, Isla. I want her to grow up seeing that when something matters, you don't just talk about it—you show up, you work hard, and you try to make a difference. If she can one day say she's proud of her daddy, that'll mean more to me than any medal or trophy ever could.

If you're able to support me, whether it's £2, £5 or £20, every donation will help Pendleside Hospice continue providing incredible care and support to local families when they need it most.

Thank you for supporting my journey. Together, we can help Pendleside Hospice continue making a difference, one family at a time. ❤️
