Story
On December 23rd 2024, my Mum died at 67 in the most incredible care of the team at St Barnabas House hospice.
To celebrate her spirited, adventurous and positive approach to life and death, I’ll run 158kms of the ancient pilgrimage route The Old Way from Southampton to Canterbury. Dating back 1,000 years, it’s a well-trodden path for all sorts of reasons.
Starting from St Barnabas House just outside Worthing and along the South Downs to finish in Winchelsea, via my sister’s house and my mother’s grave, I’ll run over six days starting Feb 15th 2026, the day after her birthday.
