Ironman Hamburg , 4 June 2023
We Raise awareness of mental health to prevent suicide and aid those struggling

Story

In 2022, Rich, Andy, Lottie and Dan, 4 first time Iron-athletes, went to Hamburg to complete the 140.6 mile triathlon in memory of our friend Sophie and to raise money for The Sophie Clarke Foundation.

This year, Max and Geordie will take the baton, don their lycra, and attempt to complete the swim, bike and run challenge in Germany in memory of Sophie and to raise money for TSCF.

The Sophie Clarke Foundation works to raise awareness and facilitate change around mental health and suicide prevention. The Foundation partners with and financially supports charities whose work supports the pursuit of its objectives. By supporting some of the amazing charities that are already established we hope to make a real difference in helping those facing mental health challenges and battling the stigma.

Challenge the stigma, create the conversation, and check in on our friends.

The 140.6 Ironman is on 4 June 2023 in Hamburg, Germany and consists of a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile cycle and a 26.2 mile run and has a cut-off time of 17 hours.

Thank you for your support and generosity!

About the charity

As a family, we set up The Sophie Clarke Foundation in honour and memory of our very special sister and daughter who took her own life in October 2020 at the age of 26. Sophie’s story is a powerful example of why we need to check on all of our friends, even those who appear to be happy, strong and thriving.
