Story
Hi, I’m Maia, a 21-year-old running my first half marathon, London Landmarks, in April for The National Brain Appeal. I recently started running and training hasn't been easy, but I'm really excited to take on this challenge!
It’s a charity very close to my family - my dad was a patient at the National following a stroke in 2018, and received brilliant care, enabling him to regain his health following this life-changing illness.
The National Brain Appeal raises funds to advance treatment and research at The National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery and the UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology. The charity has helped to transform treatments and drive new research findings, aiming to improve the lives of the one in six people in the UK that are affected by a neurological condition.
All donations big and small are extremely welcome. Thank you in advance!
