Story
This year marks 10 years since I was given the diagnosis ‘I’m afraid it is cancer’. It was a dark time not knowing at that stage if it had spread or not or if I would be here to see my beautiful children grow up.
I am one of the lucky ones and am still here and enjoying so many things. However I have lost dear friends and whilst celebrating my last 10 years I wanted to help raise funds for a charity that has helped some of them. Cransley hospice trust is a local charity which relies on donations to provide care for patients with life-limiting illnesses who need specialist help of hospice care, not only in the hospice but at home too. Cransley Hospice Trust works in partnership with Cynthia Spencer Hospice Charity. The two charities have committed themselves to increase the amount they raise each year so that more people can be helped by the service and that the service can be improved.
I chose a tandem skydive as wanted something big and terrifying and well out of my comfort zone, although I have promised not to scream all the way down! I know times are not as easy right now but if you can donate anything at all it will be really really appreciated.
Thanks so much, Megan x
