I've decided to take on the challenge of the Great Manchester Run Half Marathon in support of Alzheimer's Society. I have just completed my first half marathon and will be completing the Manchester half in support of my hubby and in aid of a charity helping those living with dementia.

My father-in-law battled with early onset dementia in his 50s, from simple struggles with words to confusion and disorientation. As a degenerative condition, he needed additional care and support as his condition deteriorated, mentally and physically up to his passing in January 2024 at the age of 62.

Alzheimer’s Society is working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. They provide help to those living with dementia today and providing hope for the future.
