Story
We've decided to take on the challenge of the Great Manchester Run Half Marathon in support of Alzheimer's Society. I'm not a natural runner, and the idea of running more than 5km is daunting to me, but with the support my wife Megan and in aid of a charity helping those living with dementia, we are taking on the challenge.
My dad battled with early onset dementia in his 50s, from simple struggles with words to confusion and disorientation. As a degenerative condition, he needed additional care and support as his condition deteriorated, mentally and physically up to his passing in January 2024 at the age of 62.
Alzheimer’s Society is working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. They provide help to those living with dementia today and providing hope for the future.
Please support me in fundraising to bring help and hope through their research and services with this amazing cause.
