Story
As many of you know our gorgeous boy was born with both a cleft lip and palate. He has already undergone 2 surgeries, his first at 6 months old and his second at 11 months. He has at least one more to go by the time he’s 10. As Oliver gets older we are finding more obstacles to navigate and overcome.
On average, one in 700 babies are born with a cleft. This means that there’s around a 0.14% chance of a baby being born with a cleft. There are many different factors which can change how likely someone is to be born with a cleft.
During the week of the 16th-24th of May I am going to be doing 700 minutes of movement over the week dedicated to CLAPA and finishing awareness week with a 7km walk. Oliver will also be doing 7 minutes of activity per day (although I am sure he will surpass this 10 fold 😂).
Any donations would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
Megan x
