**Join me on my Journey: Running for SSNAP in the Oxford Half Marathon!**
Hello everyone!
I'm thrilled to announce that I, a self-professed novice runner and neonatal intensive care nurse, will be taking on the challenge of the Oxford Half Marathon this October! Yes, you read that right – someone who once despised running is now gearing up to tackle 13.1 miles for a cause close to my heart.
Running has become more than just a physical activity for me; it's a way to decompress after long shifts spent caring for our tiniest patients and their families. And what better way to combine my newfound love for running with a desire to give back than by raising funds for SSNAP (Supporting Sick Neonates and their Parents)
SSNAP is a charity that provides invaluable support to the unit I work on, offering assistance to families facing the challenges of having a sick newborn. From providing essential equipment to offering emotional support, SSNAP is there every step of the way, just like me on race day.
I'm reaching out to you, my friends, family, and community, to support me on this journey. Your donations will not only spur me on as I tackle this physical and mental feat but will also make a real difference in the lives of those who need it most – the babies and families in our neonatal unit.
So, whether you can spare a few pounds or a few more, every contribution counts. Let's come together to make a positive impact and show our support for SSNAP. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for joining me in this incredible endeavor!
With gratitude,
Megan
