Story

๐Ÿ’™ Iโ€™m Running for HCCN! ๐Ÿ’™

As many of you know, Iโ€™m a Community Cancer Specialist Nurse. I work with some amazing colleagues based at Hinchingbrooke Hospital, as well as along side the wonderful charity HCCN. The charity support patients and their families through very difficult times by providing support groups, counselling, reflexology, and much much more. I see first hand what a difference this can make and this is why I want to help.

On Sunday 8th March 2026, Iโ€™ll be taking on the Cambridge Half Marathon, running 13.1 miles in support of Hunts Community Cancer Network (HCCN).

Iโ€™ve been known to fire walk and throw myself out of planes at 10,000 feet but I actually think running this half marathon will be much harder, and so your support and kind donations will really help to motivate me - especially training over these winter months - so THANK YOU x

Iโ€™m proud to be part of this incredible team of 10 runners, all raising funds to help adults in Huntingdonshire who are living with or beyond a cancer diagnosis.

HCCN provides emotional, physical and practical evidence based support, helping people feel more empowered, more connected, and more like themselves again.
