I am proud to be taking on the Oysho Royal Parks Half Marathon on 11 October 2026 to raise funds for Doorstep Library. This wonderful charity trains volunteers to visit families in disadvantaged London communities, bringing books directly into the home to instill a lasting love of reading through supportive, weekly visits.

This cause matters deeply to me because every child deserves the chance to discover the confidence, curiosity, and comfort that come from reading. Yet too many children still grow up without regular access to books or the support they need to build a lasting reading habit. With 1 in 10 children not owning a single book, 1 in 4 11-year-olds leaving primary school unable to read or write and fewer children reading for pleasure, Doorstep Library's volunteers take books and reading directly into homes, supporting families to read together and creating an environment where reading for pleasure is part of everyday life.
