Story
This September, I'm challenging myself to completing a drawing of a migratory bird every day to raise money for Refugee Action. I’ll be posting each picture on my instagram stories and on my website.
I'm taking part because I believe that everyone deserves safety, dignity and hope for the future. But for far too many refugees, this is the last thing they are greeted with when they arrive in the UK.
Refugee Action has supported refugees and people seeking asylum since 1981. Please help me raise money so that they can continue to do so.
The money I raise could go towards:
£10 - could give children toys and craft supplies to entertain them while their parents receive advice from our caseworkers.
£25 - could provide unlimited data, texts and phone calls for a family for a month, meaning they can keep connected with loved ones back home.
£50 - could provide a refugee family with their first weekly shop when they arrive in the UK to rebuild their lives.
£100 - could fund six sessions with a support case worker, offering people vital wellbeing support as they navigate the harsh realities of the asylum process.
