We provide help and hope to everyone living with dementia.

Story

"At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future."

I've been working in the care sector for 11+ years now starting as a carer, qualifying as a nurse and making my way up to my current post as a Deputy Manager. I am so greatful to be able to say I love my job and the postive difference it makes to people's lives. Throughout my journey, I've been touched by so many residents and their families. It never gets easier seeing a resident not recognise their daughter/son/friend/family and equally, it is just as heartbreaking for the families watching their loved ones deteriorate right in front of their eyes. The worst thing is, no one can do anything about it, but grieve for the person they once were.

I want to make it my goal to raise £450 for Alzheimer's Society and I'm doing my bit by throwing myself out of a plane at 10,000+ft in the air! I'm sure there's safer ways in fundraising, but life is to be enjoyed! 'Living life to its fullest' and all that. I'm doing this for all those who can't.

Together, we can try our best to do our bit to help these individuals and their families to a better future.

I would be extremely greatful if you're able to donate please. Anything is much appreciated. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and a thank you from all those families ❤️
