Story
On 27 September 2026, I'll be lacing up my trainers and getting ready to take on The Dartmoor Beast.
This brand new race will be a physical and mental test, but I’m prepared to push myself to the limits to conquer the challenge. Rivers, tors, bogs and steep climbs will be no match for me – because I won’t only be running for myself.
I’m 46 and not an ultra runner but I’m determined to take on The Beast.
Not because I’m ready… but because in August it will be 5 years since I lost my dad. He was cared for by Hospiscare and the support we received is something I will carry with me forever.
This challenge is my way of saying thank you and making sure that Hospiscare is there for everyone who needs it in the future.
I wear a feather on my wrist with the word “love” in his handwriting—so every step I take, he’s with me. 🪶
This won’t be easy. I don’t even know if I can do it.
But I’m showing up anyway.
If you’re able to support, it would mean the world ❤️ So please, if you can, consider making a donation today.
