This September, I’m running a 10K for the first time in my life to raise funds for a very special little boy, Dewi Bach.

Dewi, son of Hannah and Craig Wickham, was born fighting for his life. He suffered a severe brain injury at birth (HIE – Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephalopathy) along with a brain stem bleed, and was not expected to survive beyond his first week. But Dewi had other plans. Now over 10 months old, he continues to defy the odds with incredible resilience and spirit.

Dewi has been diagnosed with cerebral palsy, cortical visual impairment (he is blind), and a severe form of epilepsy called infantile spasms. He cannot yet sit, roll, or hold up his head, but he responds to love, comfort, and the world around him in his own determined way.

I'd like to raise what I can to help Hannah and Craig provide Dewi with essential therapies and specialist equipment, things Hannah and Craig are looking for to drastically improve his comfort, development, and quality of life.
