🏃‍♂️ Two Michaels, One Cause: Smith’s Half & Marsh’s Full Marathon for Breast Cancer Now 🎀

On Saturday 6th December 2025, I’ll be running the Font Vella Lanzarote International Half Marathon — a stunning 21km route along Lanzarote’s beautiful coastline.

This challenge is deeply personal. In 2023, my amazing wife was diagnosed with breast cancer — a moment that changed everything for us. She faced chemotherapy and radiotherapy with incredible courage and resilience.

Following her treatment, the support she received through Breast Cancer Now’s Moving Forward programme was incredibly helpful. These sessions became a vital source of strength — offering her a safe space to connect, reflect, and begin rebuilding emotionally and practically.

💪 I’m proud to be taking on this challenge alongside our close family friend, Michael Marsh, who will be running the full marathon as part of the same event. Though we’re covering different distances, our goal is the same — to raise vital funds and awareness for a cause close to both our hearts.

Every step we take is for those still fighting, for the families supporting them, and in memory of those we’ve lost too soon.

We’re raising funds for Breast Cancer Now, to help them continue their vital work in research, support, and recovery programmes for people affected by breast cancer.
