Greetings All! On June 23rd, my friend Michelle, went to the doctor after not feeling well for a few days. She was sent to the ER where they ended up admitting her and diagnosing her with viral heart failure. With the help of an amazing team of doctors she was able to go home after a week in the hospital.Unfortunately, her heart began to deteriorate and she was readmitted to the hospital on August 6th. After evaluation by multiple teams of doctors, it was determined that the best course of action is to have a heart transplant.On August 18th, Michelle had surgery to have a heart pump inserted and was officially added to the transplant list. She is currently on the list at a level two (one being the highest) and is waiting for a heart that is the perfect match. She will be in the Cardiac ICU until she receives the transplant and for a minimum of 2-4 weeks after for recovery and to monitor for rejection. Once she returns home, she will still be recovering for months until she is able to resume working.Michelle has a long road ahead, any donations received from this GoFundMe will be used to help with meals, housecleaning, daycare (her kids are 2 and 4 years old), lost wages, and medical expenses.All donations, no matter the size, will be greatly appreciated by Michelle and her family.
