Story
On 23rd May 2026, Hannah Brady and Nina Gandy are going to be running 50 miles (80KM) for Cynthia Spencer Hospice. Due to recent injury I’m going to run 50 miles throughout the week, finishing my run with the girls (at least 15 miles on the day) and cycling the rest with them as their support crew.
For a while now, I've wanted to do something difficult to raise money for this fantastic charity and what better year to do it than in their 50th year.
50 miles for 50 years.
Having worked and supported the hospice I've had the privilege of meeting lots of the people who have been impacted by the amazing care that the hospice provides.
And honestly, the team. I have no words.
The clinical staff who are genuinely real-life angels caring for the patients and their families day-to-day. These guys have to work so hard with a target of £4.5 million a year to keep the hospice running.
The thing is... none of us know if we're going to need hospice care.
Or when someone we love might need it.
Having a hospice in our local community is something never to take for granted, and next year I'm looking forward to making my own contribution to keeping such important care going.
It's worth running 50 miles for.
Having had sciatica issues for months (which fingers crossed has now gone!) - this isn’t going to be an easy challenge! But will make such a difference.
Thank you for any support you can offer.
