Story
This summer we will be joining the Aram Initiative and their passionate team of students and professionals on a trip to Sri Lanka.💜
Prior to our Aram trip, we will be leading a personal fundraiser in the UK. We will both be walking the entire Northern Line on London’s Underground Network on Sunday 16th June. This will be a one day event consisting of a gruelling 22.6 mile (36.4 km) walk starting at Edgware and finishing at Morden (and all stops in between)
During our two weeks in Sri Lanka, we will reach children’s homes, special needs centres, trusts and skill development centres in the rural areas of North and East Sri Lanka. 🌴Through micro-economic development projects like co-operative farming, community service, education and recreational projects, we aim to inspire hope and sustainably improve their quality of life. 📈We also aim to donate the necessary equipment to continue supporting their development.
Your donation will go towards providing educational materials, delivering sanitary toolkits, supporting super-curricular classes or empowering women through self-defence training, amongst many other projects. It will also contribute to funding our micro-infrastructure projects, such as installing water tanks, creating areas for food cultivation, and supporting agricultural initiatives.
