Falkland Islands Challenge · 9 May 2025

Falklands Conservation is the largest membership based conservation charity in the Islands. We work on behalf of our members and in partnership with the local and international community to conserve the Falklands natural environment, through practical conservation, advocacy and community outreach.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

6 years ago I took on the PEd Flt Falklands Islands Challenge after a conversation of “How long would it take to complete all 574km (Distance around both islands) by wattbike and 62km (Distance of the Falklands Sound) by rower in one sitting?”

Turns out it would take 25 hours and 33 minutes to achieve it, and then an immediate thought of can it be done in sub 24 hours?

So at 1800 in London Gym on the 9th May 2025, I will be pushing to achieve this and thought, why not raise some pennies along the way for a good cause to keep the future of Falklands Islands Conservation strong, allowing thriving wildlife which our personnel can continue to enjoy whilst on deployment to BFSAI.

Update:

Just wanted to say a huge thank you to all that donated to my cause! After much pain and suffering we got the target of sub 24hours and actually achieved sub 23 with 22 hours and 55minutes!

It’s safe to say I’ll never be doing this ever again haha!
